SMS and Email History

SMS and Email History provides a record of messages created and sent through Peach Suite Pro.

Use the history pages to confirm that a communication was prepared, review its delivery status, investigate errors, and avoid sending duplicate messages.

SMS History

SMS History displays text-message activity recorded by Peach Suite Pro.

Depending on the message and available provider information, SMS History may include:

  • Client name
  • Phone number
  • Message type or purpose
  • Message content
  • Template used
  • Date and time created
  • Date and time sent
  • Delivery or processing status
  • Error details, when applicable
  • Related appointment or business activity

Use SMS History to determine whether a reminder, confirmation, promotion, or other text message was already processed.

Email History

Email History displays email activity recorded by Peach Suite Pro.

Depending on the email and available provider information, Email History may include:

  • Client or recipient name
  • Email address
  • Email subject
  • Message type or purpose
  • Template used
  • Date and time created
  • Date and time sent
  • Delivery or processing status
  • Error details, when applicable
  • Related appointment, promotion, gift certificate, or business activity

Use Email History to confirm that a message was prepared and submitted for delivery.

Searching and Filtering History

Use the available search and filter options to locate a specific communication.

History may be searched or filtered using information such as:

  • Client or recipient name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Date range
  • Communication type
  • Template
  • Message status
  • Related appointment or business activity

Use a narrow date range or a specific client name when reviewing a large communication history.

Message Statuses

An SMS or email may display a status such as:

  • Pending
  • Scheduled
  • Queued
  • Sent
  • Delivered
  • Failed
  • Skipped
  • Cancelled
  • Not Eligible

The exact status options may depend on the communication type and messaging provider.

Pending or Scheduled

The message has been created but is waiting for its scheduled processing time.

Queued

The message is waiting to be submitted to the SMS or email provider.

Sent

Peach Suite Pro submitted the message for delivery.

A Sent status does not necessarily confirm that the recipient received, opened, or read the message.

Delivered

The communication provider reported that the message was delivered to the destination.

Delivery does not always confirm that the recipient opened or read the message.

Failed

The provider could not process or deliver the message.

Review the error information and verify the recipient’s contact information before trying again.

Skipped or Not Eligible

The message was not sent because the client or communication did not meet the required eligibility rules.

This may occur because of missing contact information, an opt-out selection, missing consent, inactive status, or another communication restriction.

Reviewing Message Details

Open a history record when more information is needed about a communication.

Review details such as:

  • The intended recipient
  • The contact information used
  • The message content or subject
  • The template used
  • The date and time processed
  • The current status
  • Any provider or system error

Confirm that the message was sent to the correct recipient before resending or correcting it.

Avoiding Duplicate Messages

Review SMS and Email History before manually sending another message.

A reminder, confirmation, follow-up, birthday message, promotion, or gift certificate email may already have been sent or may still be scheduled.

Before resending, confirm:

  • The previous message failed or requires correction
  • No duplicate message is currently pending
  • The client has not already received the same communication
  • The client is still eligible to receive the message

Sending repeated messages may confuse clients and increase opt-out requests.

Failed SMS Messages

An SMS may fail because of:

  • An invalid or incomplete phone number
  • A landline or unsupported number
  • A disconnected number
  • A carrier rejection
  • A provider or network issue
  • Missing SMS consent
  • An SMS opt-out
  • A messaging-compliance restriction

Correct the client record or communication issue before resending the message.

Failed Email Messages

An email may fail because of:

  • An invalid or incomplete email address
  • A mailbox that no longer exists
  • A full mailbox
  • A rejected or blocked email
  • A provider or network issue
  • Missing email consent
  • An email opt-out

Verify and correct the email address before sending the message again.

Contact Preferences and Consent

SMS and Email History records communication activity, but it does not replace the client’s current contact preferences.

Before sending a new message, Peach Suite Pro may review:

  • SMS opt-in status
  • SMS opt-out status
  • Email opt-in status
  • Email opt-out status
  • Available phone number
  • Available email address
  • Client status
  • Message purpose

A client may have received messages in the past but may no longer be eligible because their preferences have changed.

Always follow the client’s current communication selections.

Transactional and Promotional History

Communication History may contain both transactional and promotional messages.

Transactional messages may include:

  • Appointment confirmations
  • Appointment reminders
  • Schedule changes
  • Requested follow-up information
  • Gift certificate delivery or reminders

Promotional messages may include:

  • Special offers
  • Marketing campaigns
  • Birthday promotions
  • Announcements
  • Client re-engagement messages

Review the message purpose when determining whether the correct consent and eligibility rules were applied.

Privacy and Sensitive Information

Communication History may contain client contact information and message content.

Only authorized users should access these records.

Avoid including unnecessary treatment, medical, financial, or other sensitive information in SMS or email communications.

History Best Practices

  • Review history before resending a message
  • Use filters to locate the correct client and communication
  • Confirm the contact information used
  • Review failed and skipped messages
  • Correct invalid phone numbers and email addresses
  • Respect all opt-out requests
  • Do not assume Sent means Read
  • Avoid deleting valid communication records
  • Investigate unusual delivery failures promptly

Important

SMS and Email History documents communication activity within Peach Suite Pro.

It does not guarantee that every recipient received, opened, or read a message.

Always use the latest provider status, client contact preferences, and consent information when deciding whether another communication should be sent.
