Service Catalog

The Service Catalog is the central location for managing the services your business provides.

Use this page to create services, establish standard pricing and duration, control which providers may perform each service, and determine whether a service is available for public online booking.

Understanding the Service Catalog

Each service may include:

  • Service name
  • Service description
  • Default duration
  • Default price
  • Assigned providers
  • Public online booking availability
  • Active or inactive status

The information saved in the Service Catalog is used throughout Peach Suite Pro, including appointments, calendars, reports, provider scheduling, and Web Booking.

Adding a Service

Select the option to add a new service and enter the requested information.

Use a clear service name that clients and employees can easily recognize.

Enter the standard amount of time needed to complete the service. The duration helps Peach Suite Pro calculate appointment availability and prevent scheduling conflicts.

Enter the normal price for the service. The price may be used as the default amount when an appointment is created.

Review all information before saving the service.

Service Duration

The service duration determines how much calendar time is reserved for the appointment.

Accurate durations are important because Peach Suite Pro uses them when calculating available appointment times.

For example, a 60-minute service cannot be placed into a 30-minute opening.

If your business uses preparation or cleanup buffers, those buffers may also be included when Web Booking calculates availability.

Service Pricing

The default price is the standard amount normally charged for the service.

This amount may automatically appear when the service is selected while creating an appointment.

Depending on business permissions and appointment settings, the price may be adjusted when an appointment is added or edited.

Changing the default service price does not necessarily change the historical price saved on an existing appointment.

Assigning Providers

A service may be assigned to one or more providers.

Only providers who are qualified or authorized to perform the service should be selected.

Provider assignments help Peach Suite Pro determine which providers should appear during appointment creation and Web Booking.

For businesses with independent providers, service assignments should be reviewed carefully so each provider’s booking options remain accurate.

Available for Public Online Booking

The public booking setting controls whether clients can select the service through your Web Booking page.

When this setting is enabled, the service may appear to online clients when at least one eligible provider is available.

When this setting is disabled, employees may still be able to schedule the service internally, but clients will not see it during public booking.

Public availability may also depend on provider settings, business hours, provider hours, minimum booking notice, and other booking rules.

Editing a Service

Select a service to update its name, description, duration, price, provider assignments, booking availability, or status.

Changes to duration or provider availability may affect future appointment times displayed through Web Booking.

Review existing future appointments before making a major duration change.

Active and Inactive Services

Active services are available for normal use throughout Peach Suite Pro.

Inactive services are retained for historical records but are generally removed from new appointment and public booking selections.

Making a service inactive is usually preferable to deleting it because prior appointments and reports may still reference the service.

Why a Service May Not Appear in Web Booking

A service may not appear on the public booking page when:

  • The service is inactive.
  • Public online booking is disabled for the service.
  • No provider is assigned to the service.
  • No assigned provider is available on the selected date.
  • The service duration does not fit into the remaining available time.
  • Business or provider scheduling rules prevent the appointment.

Best Practices

  • Use service names that clients will understand.
  • Keep prices and durations current.
  • Review provider assignments whenever staffing changes.
  • Deactivate discontinued services instead of removing historical records.
  • Test public booking after making major catalog changes.
