Assigning Services to Providers
Provider Services determines which services each provider is allowed to perform.
PeachBook uses these assignments when deciding which providers may be offered for a particular service.
Why Provider Services Matters
A service may exist in your Service Catalog and appear on your public website, but PeachBook still needs to know which providers can actually perform it.
Without the correct Provider Services assignments, customers may not see the expected provider options.
Assign Services Carefully
Review each provider and assign only the services that person is expected to perform.
Do not assign a service merely because it exists in the Service Catalog. Provider assignments should reflect actual business operations.
Service Catalog Remains the Source of Truth
Provider Services does not create or redefine services.
Core information such as service type, duration, and price remains controlled by the Service Catalog.
How PeachBook Uses Provider Services
When a customer selects a service, PeachBook can use Provider Services along with Provider Hours and Provider Time Off to determine which providers and appointment times are available.
Before Completing This Step
Review each provider and confirm:
- All services they perform are assigned
- Services they do not perform are not assigned
- Inactive or discontinued services are not assigned unnecessarily
When Services Change
If a provider begins or stops performing a service, update Provider Services promptly.
Keeping assignments current helps ensure that PeachBook shows customers only valid booking options.
Test PeachBook
After assigning services, open the public booking page and confirm that the expected providers appear for each service.
